The Shreveport to Monroe run is the shortest line on our long-distance board and the only Louisiana route we routinely close out as a same-day load-and-unload. One hundred miles of I-20 east, one bridge over the Ouachita River, and the same A-Class crew that wrapped your Shreveport hallway is setting your couch in West Monroe before sundown.
The I-20 east corridor
Phil Sanderson, our Bossier & LD crew chief, treats the I-20 stretch through Minden, Arcadia and Ruston as a known quantity. We roll out of the Greenwood Road yard, push past the Louisiana Tech exit, and aim for the Ouachita River bridge before the West Monroe traffic stiffens. No relay, no carrier swap, no “your driver in Monroe will call you” nonsense.
- Greenwood Road yard onramp to I-20 east in under four minutes
- Ruston / Grambling State pass-through at mile 70
- Ouachita River bridge timed against the Monroe morning commute
- Air-conditioned cab, A/C-only transit through the Gulf-humid summer
Flat-figure cost bands
Ben Whitfield walks every binding figure himself, so the Shreveport to Monroe number you sign is the number you pay. No fuel surprises, no “weight came back higher,” no carrier-broker spread.
