The Shreveport to Tulsa leg is the longest interstate route on the A-Class long-distance board. Three hundred and seventy miles up I-49 north into Arkansas, west through Fort Smith and the OKC corridor, then onto I-40 east into Tulsa. Phil books it as a two-day load and unload by default.
I-49 north and the OKC corridor
The truck leaves the Greenwood Road yard and stays on I-49 north past Texarkana into Arkansas, then I-40 east through the Fort Smith / OKC freight corridor. Tulsa is the second-day delivery target, so the Shreveport load gets the morning, and the Oklahoma unload gets the morning-after.
- I-49 north out of Shreveport, Arkansas state-line at Texarkana
- I-40 transition at Fort Smith, west-bound freight corridor
- Henryetta and Muskogee pass-throughs into eastern Oklahoma
- Tulsa downtown and Broken Arrow deliveries handled same crew
Two-day binding pricing
Ben’s long-distance rule: the further the route, the more the binding figure matters. The Tulsa bill is signed before the truck rolls and does not move regardless of weather, fuel or Oklahoma traffic.
