A-Class Student Movers offers full-service packing services Shreveport households book when they want a Gulf-summer-rated boxing job and not a U-Haul foam kit. Our packers wrap for Louisiana humidity — 95°F days and 70% relative humidity are the rule from June through September, and standard shrink traps moisture against wood.
Humidity-rated materials
We stock breathable wrap, dish-pack cartons with cell dividers, mirror boxes with corner inserts, and double-walled wardrobe boxes for hanging clothes. The August 1 student-rush load goes out in the same humidity-rated kit as the May lake-house relocation. No “summer surcharge” line on the invoice.
Pack-and-load coordination
Most three-bedroom Shreveport-Bossier households pack on the day before load-out. That keeps move day under eight hours and avoids the 3-5pm Louisiana Street bridge backup. Doug McGregor builds the pack schedule the same week as your residential estimate.
Student pack window
Last two weeks of July are our heaviest pack window: Centenary parents, Louisiana Tech graduate-housing families, and LSU-Shreveport transfers booking before the August 1 move-in truck. Book the pack slot when you book the dorm move for the cleanest handoff.
What is not included
Pack-only jobs do not include disassembly of furniture or appliance disconnects — those bundle with load day. We do not pack hazardous materials, ammunition, propane, or open paint cans, and freezers must be defrosted 24 hours before pack-out.
